Convertly uses Shopware's rule system to deliver variants in a targeted way. This lets you test shopping experiences, CMS blocks and sections, product listings, payment and shipping methods, and rule-based content across the entire shop. Headless storefronts are also supported. Since Convertly builds on Shopware's standard mechanisms, practically any area controllable via rules can be tested.
No. Convertly is fully configured in the Shopware backend. You create experiments, variants, and reports directly in the admin area — no coding or external tools required. If you're familiar with Shopware rules and shopping experiences, you'll feel at home right away. For more advanced scenarios (e.g. custom tracking events via Google Tag Manager), the integration is prepared but not required.
Convertly provides integrated reporting for every experiment directly in the Shopware backend. This includes conversion rate, improvement range, confidence intervals, ARPU, and average cart value per variant. You can filter results by device type (mobile/desktop/tablet), sales channel, time range (up to 365 days), order status, and guest vs. customer orders. Tracking events can also be forwarded to Google Tag Manager.

Yes. Convertly offers four different consent modes — from "cookie required with user linkage" to "no cookie, aggregated data only" — so you can choose the mode that fits your privacy concept. You can also enable automatic data deletion after a configurable retention period (default: 90 days). Bots are filtered, and specific IP addresses can be excluded system-wide. Please align the specific configuration with your data protection officer.
The Starter version includes all core A/B testing functionality: rule-based tests, statistical evaluation with confidence intervals, comprehensive filters, and GDPR tools. Convertly Pro (available as an in-app purchase) extends the plugin with additional conversion tools such as rule-based product media tests, sorting tests, cart nudge bars, intelligent product recommendations, and custom conversion goals with detailed goal tracking. Pro can be activated at any time from within the Starter version.
Convertly is compatible with Shopware 6.6 and 6.7. Headless storefronts have been supported since version 7.25, as has the Store API. Tests run independently of the frontend used, since tracking and variant assignment happen server-side.
Convertly uses multiple caching layers specifically designed to remain performant even for shops with high order volumes. Variant assignment uses a device hash instead of session data, which improves cache utilization. Bot traffic is filtered out before test evaluation, avoiding unnecessary processing.
